Hard Disk Recorder

Communication Technology, one of the major subjects under the Mass Communications degree program, uses a wide variety of media devices such as video cameras, editing machines, lightings, boom mikes, radios, consoles and so on and so forth.

A hard disk recorder is a kind of recording machine that utilizes high powered hard disk to record and/or store digital videos and audios. Hard disk recording can be a substitute to the more traditional way of recording with the use of cassette or rolling tape multi track methods. It also has a controlling capacity, a feature that is not available in tape recorders. The device can also be used either when connected to the computer or not and it is responsible for the digital combination we hear in audio recordings.
